SPIRITUAL PEACE AND SAFETY!!

SPIRITUAL PEACE AND SAFETY!!

Hello all,

I know that most of us see this phrase as pertaining only to the world and the unbeliever right before Christ comes, but I feel this relates to the spiritual condition of the modern day church because it has lost its love of the Truth.

First, it is interesting to note that there is only one verse in the whole of the Bible that uses the exact words “peace and safety”, only one!!  There is one other verse that uses both words, but not together, and I will end this post with that verse.

We must keep in mind always that the Bible was written to and for believers.

It is to BELIEVERS that these verses were written:

1Th 5:3   For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

1Th 5:4   But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.”

The lukewarm, foolish virgins are the ones thinking they have SPIRITUAL peace and safety…they are baptized, they go to church, therefore they think they are saved….adhering to man made traditions and not the Holy Word of God.  These are the in name only Christians that will be thrown into the great Tribulation because they are not born-again and indwelt with the Holy Spirit.  They are not walking with Christ; don’t have a PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM.  You have to walk with Him and talk with Him and follow Him wherever He goes, not where you want Him to go.

The Harlot fallen away Churches of the end-times are the foolish virgins…that is why Christ has told born-again believers to come out of her.  This is the church that believes that by its own efforts, it is saving mankind. This is blasphemy….but it plays right into the one world religion, the religion of the antichrist.

It is to them that Jesus also says:

Rev 2:22 “Behold I will cast her  into  a bed and  them that commit adultery  with  her  into  great  tribulation, except they repent  of  their  deeds.”

No one on this earth, in their right mind, is thinking that the world is a peaceful and safe place!!!  Jesus is not talking about a physical feeling of peace and safety in this world.  It is spiritual!!!   It is people who think they are saved by this false gospel, and are no longer worried about their eternal destiny.

It is ALL ABOUT THE SPIRITUAL…THE RACE WE RUN IS A SPIRITUAL RACE.  That is why I feel that worrying about what the NWO is going to do is worrying too much about the PHYSICAL.  God is always going to be in charge and we must believe His Truth and not the false doctrines of men.  Believing that He is coming in secret to take His people out of Tribulation is having faith in these false doctrines and not the Truth.  And, by doing so, think that one has peace and safety from what is about to come upon this world, when that certainly is not the case!!  Judgment starts at the House of God.  He will test and try us to see if we are truly His.

And while I am on the subject, I think people are wrong to keep asking for a signs from God….especially about what the enemy is going to do…it is limiting and distracting.  If you ask in prayer and receive what you asked for, that is good, praise the Lord with thank-you!!  If you are truly His, He anticipates your every need; therefore asking for signs seems a sign of a lack of faith and total trust in Him.

I feel there is nothing wrong with speculating and seeing the signs that appear, but date setting and gnat staining are not signs of anything spiritual, and takes away from time spent in His Word where one lets Him speak to you, PERSONALLY.  Granted, it is so exciting to be learning new things everyday about how everything fits together, and then sharing these things with other people…it is awesome and very addicting.  I am one of those addicts, so I have to keep remembering to leave some space between, to let His Spirit speak to me directly.  I am trying to become more addicted to that!

Psalms 4:8 is the only other verse in the Bible that uses the words peace and safety in the same verse.  The following verses are for the wise SPIRITUAL virgins, that KNOW that their only peace and safety is by resting in the Hand of Jesus.  And, I for one, stand it awe of that!!!!

Psa 4:4   Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.

Psa 4:5   Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD

Psa 4:6   [There be] many that say, Who will shew us [any] good? LORD, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us

Psa 4:7   Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time [that] their corn and their wine increased

Psa 4:8   I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.”

If we are His we have His Peace and abide in His Safety, no matter what is happening in the world.  Worldly Christians think they have the peace and safety of being raptured out of Tribulation, and this is a false peace and a false security.

JESUS IS ALL AND EVERYTHING!

Hello all! What a long strange trip it has been! I am amazed that through 40 years of Bible studies, Bible College, and attending a multitude of churches, of varying denominations, I have come full circle back to the day when I was “born again”. On that day (Sept 24th 1978) I found the Truth when Jesus found me. I knew in an instant that I could live in eternity by living in the moment with Christ. God is love and loves everyone and wants everyone to be set free in Christ. That the spiritual world trumps the material world and by focusing on Christ one can live spiritually every moment, and death to self brings abundant new life. This was massively life changing! I went from being broken to being whole! I could not contain the love and joy within me. I was a different person and all my relationships changed. And shortly after that earthshaking day, I did sell everything I owned and went on the road proclaiming the JOY of the Good News!! Yet, after three years, I settled down and starting going to church, realizing I had not truly studied the Word of God. I had attended church as a child and as a teen I sang in the choir and taught vacation Bible school, so I knew the major highlights of the Gospel, and pretty much believed what preachers were preaching about God’s Word. Still, I did not find the fire of the Spirit in many of the churches I attended. To me, all the different denominations were creating division not unity in the body of Christ, by chopping up the Word to suit the traditions of men. In 1997 I decided to start reading and studying the Bible for myself. I read books about the “rapture” and the Left Behind series of books and started to see how churches were so divided on these issues and nothing they were teaching really rang true in my heart. I attended Bible College in 2004 and got my Masters in Theology and really got into understanding the End Times as taught by the pre-trib and pre-wrath rapture groups and authors. I was completely sold on this interpretation of the Bible, so much so, that I started writing about it on a pre-trib web site called Five Doves. I got really into waiting for the rapture and trying to figure out the timing and all that, and wrote many many articles about how and when this would happen. It was exciting, I felt that I was learning so much. The more I studied on my own the more I started to see that I did not see in His Word the same things that others were seeing and started to write about what I was finding. As soon as I did this, and started to stray away from the herd of pre-tribbers, I was thrown off the web site. As soon as that happened, the Lord started giving me new revelations and I started asking questions and rely on Him to show me in His Word the answers I was looking for. The major turning point was when I started writing for another web site (Rapture Prophecy Bible Forum) and found out who Israel truly is. That is the foundation for all Bible study…once one knows whom Israel is, one can never go back to dispensational beliefs. That opened the flood gates of revelations from the Lord. He made sure that I would have the time to truly focus on what the Holy Spirit was showing me. I fell down some stairs and broke both of my feet and was not able to do anything but study the Bible. And Study I did!! I was consumed with it, day and night and felt on fire for the Truth. Things that I had believed in for so long just fell away, and everyday I was finding out more and more. Although I started to see that there is no end time rapture, I still believed in a future Second Coming and that we were in the Last Days and how the world was becoming a dark place full of evil. I wrote much about this…even on this blog. Yet, at the same time finding out about the Kingdom of God and how it has already come, and how the Jewish feasts have all been fulfilled in Christ. We are not waiting for the last three to be fulfilled as so many preach and teach. The plan of Salvation was FINISHED AT THE CROSS, and all that was left to be fulfilled was the sending of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost…the 7th and last feast not the 4th…and Christ’s Second Coming in Judgment and the resurrection of the saints. That brings me up to recent time, and my most recent revelations from the Lord and I am shocked at what I have found out! I never even conceived that the Bible was a finished work and that there was no longer anything left to be fulfilled. Yet, that is what I have found out and it is AMAZING how I feel totally set free!! The Truth truly does set one free from the searching and the divisions of the traditions of man!! It all makes so much sense and every verse has taken on a new and heartfelt meaning!! It is GOOD NEWS!! Jesus is our King we can live in His Kingdom RIGHT NOW!! He did ALL He said he would do, when He said He would do it, all we need to do is KNOW HIM. The only event left to happen will happen to each of His children when they pass from this world and into eternity. I was so overwhelmed by my discoveries that I did not know how to approach beginning to write about it. Also, it labels me (and I hate labels in reference to divisions in Christ) I find that I have become a full Preterist. I would never ever have thought this is where my studies would lead, but cannot deny it is where the Lord has brought me. I am now ready to start proving it and that is what I will be doing from here on out. Perhaps the most wonderful aspect of all this is that it has brought me full circle. When I was born again and shown the power of Jesus and relying on Him, I knew it was finished in Him…He was the answer to all. Love is the strongest power in the universe and God is love. Nothing else really mattered. It was not until I got caught up in the “traditions of men” that the path got crooked and the way confusing. Yet, it is so wonderful to find out that His Word tells us the Truth, and that Jesus is the Way, the TRUTH, and the life. That being said, I will be posting studies that helped me understand, and hope that anyone out there that is reading this may find what they may be looking for, as they take this journey OF FINDING OUT FOR YOURSELF. God bless all, and may you be in His love and Light today and always!! JESUS IS ALL AND EVERYTHING!!! Patti C.

One thought on “SPIRITUAL PEACE AND SAFETY!!”

  1. Much truth is brought out in Patti’s articles, and I am enjoying them tremendously.

This particular one strongly brings out the “Peace and Safety” that is mentioned in I Thessalonians 5:3, and the “sudden destruction” which will follow.

As I was reading other articles from Sigler Ministries today, the expression “peace and safety” popped up at me and made me remember this article, which I read a couple of days ago. I felt that maybe it was meant for me to share that one because of the correlation of that particular expression, “Peace and safety”….

However, this is NOT a teaching which is widely known in today’s churches. But, it is what the Bible teaches…..and it is known as “The GOOD NEWS” that is told to us by God.

And it is “Good News” that we might all consider….and not have any more fear of the “bad news” which is taught in the majority of churches today…

[Some may agree, and some may not. But it’s something we should all consider]

    Piece of the link article:

Once we understand that the fire of God is for correction, purging, and purifying, we can see that the lake of fire will only destroy that which is not of God. Right now, we are all in the fires of purification. I have felt this fire many times and I am sure I will again. Whenever your heart turns away from the Lord, He turns up the fire. We are so blessed to be going through the fire now. “And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God” (Zech. 13:9).

“As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire; so persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm. Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O LORD” (Ps. 83:14-16). You can see in this verse that the fire of judgment is to cause men to seek the Lord.

The purifying fires of hell are taking place in me right now, and you can be sure that you also will go through the fires of purification. Jesus taught torment. If you have an unforgiving heart, you will be turned over to the tormentors. I believe in torment. I believe in horrible torment, but it is not eternal, because God’s judgment and His heart toward me is for correction, for reproof, and for purification, but He is never vindictive, hateful or vengeful.

A lot of misconception and misunderstanding has come from the mistranslation in the book of Revelation that says that the punishment in the fire is for ever and ever. I’m not going to explain that to you in this message, but I will say this, if you read J. Preston Eby’s book called Just What Do You Mean . . . Eternity?, it will do a much better job than I could ever do to explain that the word in Revelation which is translated “eternal” does not mean everlasting and unending. Preston proves to you by taking you through the Bible that that word always means a period of time, with a beginning and an end, although in some cases it can be of a long duration, even ages upon ages.
